Sheep in the Pasture
Extra large (jumbo) linocut print titled âSheep in the Pastureâ. Original, handmade linocut print of sheep and a wolf in a landscape setting. Paper size is approx. 50 x 38 inches (127 x 96.5 cm). Printed image size is approx. 36 x 24 inches (91.5 x 61 cm). Limited edition of 25. Numbered, titled, and signed in pencil below printed image. Since this block print is handmade each print edition will be slightly different and unique.
This linocut is printed with high quality black oil-based relief ink. It is available on two paper colors: Natural (beige) color gampi fiber paper. Note that the gampi paper is a warm cream color. The Sheep in the Pasture print is very detailed and beautiful and looks great with black, white or natural wood frames. Frames are not included.
This extra large print was created for a jumbo printmaking event and was exhibited in New York City.
Shipping information: Prints are carefully rolled between sheets of acid free tissue paper, then rolled again in Kraft paper for extra protection, placed in waterproof bags and and mailed in sturdy shipping tubes.
This print was made by first drawing my idea on paper, transferring the reversed image to a linoleum block and then carving away the areas that I do not want to print. Lastly, I hand print it on high quality printmaking paper.
